Debra joined Jobs Australia in September 2018. She is an experienced CEO who has worked in both the public and Not for Profit sectors across a diverse range of businesses, including Member-based organisations. Debra has a reputation as a transformational leader who is invested in working with people to encourage them to be the best version of themselves. Recognised for her passion, energy and commitment to supporting individuals Deb provides leadership to Jobs Australia and works closely with the entire team who are committed to providing ongoing support, evidence-based advice and excellent service to our Members.

Nicole Steers

Chief Operating Officer & Deputy CEO

Nicole joined the Executive Team in early 2019. As the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO Nicole brings leadership skills, business acumen and an ability to effectively manage our team, ensuring Members are at the centre of everything we do. Nicole is proud to be leading an incredible team that is informed, knowledgeable, creative, visionary, and committed to providing an exceptional service to the membership as well as providing a nimble and responsive approach to the ever changing environment of our Members.

Ernst Ferreira

Corporate Services Officer & Company Secretary

Ernst joined the Executive Team in September 2019. As the Corporate Services Officer and Company Secretary, Ernst is committed to providing a financially sustainable organisation, with good governance, risk management and infrastructure enabling ongoing value for Members. Ernst works closely with our various business partners to ensure the best products and services are on offer. When it comes to the Blanket Cover Insurance Program, Ernst works with our brokers Marsh to ensure Members continue to receive the best product and cover at a competitive price. Ernst leads a team that is passionate about their work and the provision of exceptional services to our membership and stakeholders.

Richard Butler

ESP Member Liason & Policy Advisor

Richard joined the Jobs Australia team in late 2019 and delivers value to Members through representation, engagement, and advocacy. Richard’s diverse career includes senior management and CEO roles in the central and west Kimberley and the Torres Strait. Richard brings considerable stakeholder management experience in Federal, State and Local Government. Richard’s passion is understanding key issues impacting all government funded Member programs and working tirelessly with Members to develop and advocate solutions.

Emma Hall

Membership, Events and Programs Coordinator

Emma joined Jobs Australia in April 2019 and has been instrumental in adapting and changing the delivery of membership and marketing at Jobs Australia. Emma has a passion for creating Member-centric events, programs, and communications. As a conduit between Jobs Australia and Members, you’ll no doubt meet Emma at one of our many events or training programs, or for a more personalised approach onsite at your organisation when doing Member visits.

Digital Marketing & Infrastructure Coordinator

In August 2019 Brit joined the Jobs Australia team. Brit has a background in marketing and has worked in the Not for Profit space for some years. Brit leads the execution of digital marketing programs for Jobs Australia, whilst leveraging internal support and driving collaboration. Brit is passionate about continually growing the Jobs Australia brand and providing a high level of service to our Members.

Margaret Balsillie

Human Resources & Workplace Relations Advisory Leader

With a long career embedded in Human Resources and Industrial Relations Margaret was fortunate to join the Jobs Australia team in 2011. Margaret’s role provides her with the privilege of working with Members around the country in all aspects of people related work, this includes her passion for training and working with leaders.  Margaret leads a fabulous team of professionals who also share her passion for workplace relations and the Jobs Australia membership.

David Prior

Industrial Relations Specialist

David joined Jobs Australia in February 2021 and provides pragmatic and solutions focused industrial advice to Jobs Australia Members tailored to their specific employer needs.  As a member of the workplace relations team, David brings extensive in-house and private practice legal experience to providing telephone industrial advice, email advice confirmations and additional consultancy services in investigation case management, enterprise bargaining and responding to Fair Work Commission cases where required.

Meagan Tucker

Workplace Relations Officer

Meaghan joined Jobs Australia in March 2020, bringing over a decade of Industrial Relations experience to our Workplace Relations team. With a passion for educating, combined with her in-depth knowledge of the SCHADS award, Meaghan works to provide all Members with not only support but a genuine understanding of their situation and providing IR strategies reflective of their needs.

Liz Jongebleod

Executive Business Support - EA

Liz joined Jobs Australia in June 2021 after a long career at Boeing Aerostructures Pty Ltd. Liz provides business support to the Executive team and secretariat support to the Board. This involves working closely with the Members’ elected state representatives on the Board and supporting the Board with governance and compliance requirements. Liz applies the Jobs Australia values to all the work she does in support of the Board, the Executive, and the Jobs Australia membership.

Patricia Reardon

Board Secretariat

Trish joined Jobs Australia in late 2018 in a part time capacity to support the Board of Directors’ secretariat function. Working closely with the members’ elected state representatives on the Board and the executive leadership team at Jobs Australia, Trish’s role is integral in maintaining the Board’s governance and compliance requirements. Whilst Trish’s work is very much in the background, she applies the Jobs Australia values of Integrity, Proactivity, Respect, Leadership and Progress to all the work she does in support of the Board of Directors and the Jobs Australia membership.

Sofie Barlas

Finance Officer

Sofie joined Jobs Australia in November 2005. With a career spanning many years in finance Sofie plays an integral role in our financial and accounting activities, including payroll processing. Sofie provides support to the Corporate Services Officer, is passionate about maintaining sound financial reporting and business solutions and has helped to implement accounting processes and procedures for operational improvements. With her expertise, attention to detail and being able to build on her knowledge of Jobs Australia’s services and the Not for Profit sector over the years, Sofie provides invoicing and membership account needs to all our Members.
