Policy research at Jobs Australia is directed at finding and recommending the most effective ways to assist our members in placing disadvantaged jobseekers into work.



jobactive is the latest iteration of the Australian Government's outsourced public employment service, replacing the Job Services Australia model. The new model commenced on 1 July 2015, with a range of private (for-profit) and charitable or non-profit agencies delivering the required services under contracts with the Australian Government Department of Employment.

Job Services Australia

Job Services Australia (JSA) commenced on 1 July 2009 and ceases on 30 June 2015. JSA will be replaced with a new model of employment services from 1 July 2015. This page contains information relating to the history of developments for Job Services Australia.
