Unfinished Business is a photographic essay by Belinda Mason that focusses on disability in remote, regional and urban Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. By any measure Indigenous Australians with disabilities are the most disadvantaged Australians; often facing multiple barriers to meaningful participation within their own communities and the wider community.
Belinda Mason uses the powerful medium of photography to highlight the lives of Indigenous Australians living with a disability in a sensitive and culturally appropriate way. Check out the Unfinished Business website.
Some people may recognise some of the participants especially Uncle Steve Widders, Uncle Kevin Coombs, Jandamarra O’Shane and Aunty June Oscar OAM.
