Opposition or Opportunity - The power of Workplace Mediation | Newcastle | 27 March
Mediation is based on the principle of collaborative problem-solving, with a focus on the future and rebuilding relationships, rather than apportioning blame, this can be achieved by having the skills to:
- Assist parties to work out what the dispute is about;
- Find options to assist in sorting out the dispute;
- Assist in the development of those options; and
- Assist parties to reach agreement.
There are convincing reasons to promote the wider use of mediation in workplace disputes. The advantage of using an informal approach means there is greater flexibility in how it is used to suit specific circumstances, and the confidentiality of the process can offer breathing space that allows more open and honest discussion.
If you have ever experienced disagreements in the workplace, then this training is for you. It’s about sitting down and talking, bringing parties together rather than have them stand up and confront each other - which can create a potential risk for employers.
Our mediation training is designed for anybody who manages others.
