Gala Charity dinner: Jobs Australia Foundation
  Last updated : 29/10/2009 8:13:28 AM

The inaugural Jobs Australia Foundation gala charity dinner was held Thursday 22 October in conjunction with the Jobs Australia conference in Hobart.

The event provided the opportunity for Jobs Australia members and supporters to learn of the foundation’s activities, partners and upcoming Indigenous youth leadership trek of the Kokoda Trail.

Nearly 300 people attended the dinner and participated in various fundraising activities including the major raffle and a frenzied silent auction.

Patron of the trek, Kyle Vander-Kuyp spoke of his current ambassador roles in many Indigenous communities and of his commitment to the trek and its participants.  Casey Donovan and her band wowed the crowd well into the night.

The Jobs Australia Foundation is delighted with the generosity of supporters and is well on its way to securing total funds for their youth leadership project.

Thank you to all contributors and we look forward to bringing you more information in the coming months.

The Foundation would also like to acknowledge and thank their generous corporate supporters: Toyota Fleet, Community Sector Banking, Community Fleet Services, Kokoda Spirit and Air Niugini.

Please contact Amanda Watt (awatt@ja.com.au) for further information, partnership and participant opportunities for the trek.
